Crazy 2011

Wow This year has been quit an adventure for the Anderson's. I have done a little creating in the past months but not alot to busy with Life.
I had back surgery in March a 2 level fusion added to my current fusion so I have 4 level fusion now. Dr Pinto at Mn Spine is an amazing surgery and my recovery has been great. I started a home base business selling purses by Miche check out my web page
They found a cyst on my daughters ovary in Feb, she had it removed in March, and it turn out to be a mucinous carcinoma, yes my 25 yo daughter was diagnosed with ovarian cancer, This changes your life in an instant. She has 2 surgeries and 3 of 6 chemo treatments, she is staying positive, most days, and determined to beat cancer!!!! When the chemo is completed she will be done with her treatment, they feel all the cancer was contained in the cyst.
I am glad that I am off during the summer so I have been able to be there for her through all of this! On July 2, she got married to a wonderful man, my son in law Dario. This was an amazing celebration of love and life. Three days prior to the wedding her hair did fall out s we scrambled for a perfect wig. My mom feel and broke her arm so I have been taking care of them and there home, in the mist of all of this they got an opportunity to move to a senior appartment, they have been on the waiting list for 5 years. I am happy to have them there.
I hope life has been good for you and sorry for not being on lately.

Here are some photos of the wedding

Happy New Year

Hope 2010 was good and 2011 will be even better.
We went dress shopping and yes she found the one

I had a great holiday, even though the weather was terrible, we did manage to get to my sisters house 300 miles away. Its so fun to be around my sister and her family, we made a favorite recipe of Grandma Fogerty's Pigs in the Blanket.

Got to spend time with my great nieces and nephew.
I got some awesome gifts this year, I think my family was paying attention to all my little hints this year.
Back to work today, I think we have 2 weeks before another 1 day break.
2011 will bring alot of changes and celebrations for my family. In April I and my dear hubby will turn 50! When I turn 50, my mom will be 75, me 50, and my daughter 25, seperated by quarters.
In July we will be adding a son-in-law to ur family, Nicole is getting married on the second.
In Sept Tyler will have his golden birthday on the 24th, and we will celebrate 30 years of marriage.
Hope 2011 is good for you.

A Photo holder for your desk or home,,,

Create a cute way to hold your photos and so easy to create.
I used the fun line from Basic Grey Marjolaine
Supplies needed
2 pieces pattern paper, brads, yarn/string, paper piercer, ribbon, glue, tape runner, foral stem wire, empty paint can, corner rounder, round styrofoam around 2 1/2 inches wide and 5 inches in height and foam brush or sponge,

My DH picked up quart size empty cans for a couple bucks at Home depot.
Cut your paper to fit on your paint can, Top 2 3/4 bottom, 2 inches.
in addition you will need one small piece that covers the entire can 5 and 3/"4 I used the same as the bottom, the 12 inch pieces do not fit completely around it.
Adhere with your favorite adhesive I used glue.
Photobucket
Corner round the top of your paper, then put your brads on. Now you can adhere the pieces around, the can start on one side of the paper you place on the can first.
Use a round needle nose pliars to round the top of the wire and flatten it, for the photo holders I made 3 holders. wrap the wire around a small marker or pencil, if you like that look

small strips of paper to fold and crimp to put in the top

Place your ribbon around the center, covering the seam. I used a brass ribbon holder in the center of mine. lace up your brads
PhotobucketPhotobucket
Put your styrofoam in the center crimped paper to cover the center, and put in the metal photo holders.
Happy creating

September

What has September meant for you?

September has been eventfull for me and my family.

I am back to work which is good, I love the work I do at the high school. I have a new co-worker and that is going really well.

Tyler turned 23 yesterday. Happy Birthday

Sadly sept brought the passing of my husbands sister. We all knew due to Lisa's physical and mental challenges she wouldn't live to be 100, but it did come unexpectadly for us at age 42.
Spunky’s giggles, squeals, and screams will be greatly missed by all of us who loved her.
I hope everyone is having a great fall.

week 4 at camp paradise

This weeks I had I arts and crafts and choose to do distressing and inking.I used several different methods for my layout, I want to see a LO that has at least one example of distressing with a tool. I also want to see some ink on the page.
Here is my LO for the challenge. I just love this great picture of my daughter and my Dad. I also used a line from Bo Bunny Petal Pushers, (available in the CP store) such a supper fun and cute line and perfect for the photo.

I realised I did not post week 3 of camp, I had sports and rec. I did a 3 legged race and the challenge was to create a LO using the rule of thirds. Here is my completed project of my daughter getting her first tatoo. I did some misting and masking in my LO also. This is another line from Bo Bunny The collection is flower child, another great line by a awesome company.

Fun Layout I created!!

Most of you know I LOVE Bo Bunny they had a challenge on their blog
This was a fun challenge, The challenge was to get inspired by the title of your favourite TV-show or movie.
I created a fun Layout using the tittle My Girl, remember this chick flick.
On croppinparadise
Nubia had a challenge for Camp to write a letter home for journaling. I combined the two challenges and this is what I came up with.
I found some favorite paper of mine by BoBunny the Alissa line. It was perfect for these challenges and for a page in my album I am doing, on my experience with my daughters engagement.
